Black Family Law Attorney Los Angeles

The Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law is now scheduling dates for FREE legal interviews at a new location in South Los Angeles. To quickly find out if you are eligible for FREE legal advice on your family problems, call (213) 388-7505 ext. 306, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Founded in 1975 by a small group of African-American judges and lawyers in Los Angeles, the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, Inc. is a non-profit corporation whose mission is dedicated to non-profit, educational and community services. Sponsored by the Vera Brown Curtis Project and the Los Angeles chapter of Links, Incorporated; Promote positive life outcomes for low-income African Americans. The California Association of Black Lawyers (CABL) has an illustrious history and ancestry of courage, activism and participation in the political process. We are delighted to launch this year`s Pro Bono initiative.

While COVID-19 has greatly influenced the way we program, the pro bono co-chairs have organized a pro bono project that allows business administration to focus its resources and “women” on the organizations they need most right now. Congratulations to 2022-2023 President of Business Administration, Jasmine S. Horton, on her nomination as President of BwL! We wish Jasmine and the Board of Directors every success for 2022-2023 as we push our communities to inspire change and find the way forward! This particular foundation, in memory of Justice Spencer, will allow high-performing students from the Southwest to receive a judicial scholarship with an award.
